Portland police seize suspected narcotics, firearms following traffic stop

PORTLAND, Tenn. – The Portland Police Department seized suspected drugs and weapons following a traffic stop Wednesday.
According to a social media post, officers conducted a traffic stop after locating a vehicle with an inoperable brake light and illegally tinted windows.
During the investigation, a K9 officer detected the odor of suspected narcotics, leading to a probable cause search of the vehicle.
Officers say they located suspected MDMA (Ecstasy/Molly), three ounces of suspected marijuana, more than $23,000, three firearms and brass knuckles.
The driver of the vehicle, Travis McMillian, was arrested on charges of resale of Schedule I (mdma), resale of Schedule VI (marijuana), unlawful drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, prohibited weapons, and various traffic violations.
The investigation is ongoing.
