Police: Search results in discovery of 14 grams of methamphetamine, 2 arrests

CAVE CITY, Ky. – Police say two people in Cave City are facing drug charges after a search.
Cave City Police Department officers responded for a drug complaint Thursday at the 300 block of North Dixie Highway. Police say they received consent to search the residence.
An investigation resulted in the discovery of around 14 grams of methamphetamine, as well as around 8 grams of marijuana, police say.
Police then arrested Tonya Parmon, 59, and Loffet Boyce, 68.
Parmon faces charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than 2 grams of methamphetamine), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
Boyce faces charges of first degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
Both remain in the Barren County Detention Center.
