Police on scene of ongoing barricade situation in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Ky. – The Clarksville Police Department says a barricade situation is ongoing on Monroe Street on Wednesday.

According to police, negotiations are active with one individual. Authorities stated two other people had exited the residence unharmed, however, one other individual remained inside with the male subject. Officers say the situation is domestic-related and began around midnight.

Authorities say the situation ins ongoing, and residents in the immediate area are asked to remain indoors if possible.

Monroe Street is closed to traffic near the scene and will remain closed until the situation is safely resolved, police say.

A perimeter is in place within the area at this time.
