Police know the identity of the the man who spray painted downtown businesses and sidewalks

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Police confirm they have identified the person they believe spray painted the Bowling Green Ballpark, Bowling Green Daily News, Morris Jewelers as well as a sidewalk in several places surrounding Fountain Square Park and other locations in the downtown area overnight nearly two weeks ago.

Much of the graffiti was removed by employees at local businesses and the city.

Spray paint on sidewalks said several different statements including “A public park only for the rich who live on the square,” referencing Fountain Square Park.

Other messages read, “free Palestine,” “my body my choice” and “defund the police.”

“Report news not propaganda,” was spray painted on the side of the newspaper building.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.

His case will be presented to a grand jury and his name will be released if he is indicted.
