Plona adds 6-10 forward Joseph Adebayo to 2026-27 roster

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Mahurin Family Foundation Head Coach Hank Plona announced the signing of 6-10 freshman forward Joseph Adebayo to the 2026-27 roster.

Adebayo joins the Hilltoppers after a year of prep at Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Connecticut.

“We are excited to add Joseph to our Hilltopper family,” said Plona. “After getting to know him this summer, we know he will fit in great with the group we have on campus. Joseph plays the game with passion, plays to win and is physically ready to help us right away. Hilltopper fans will love the energy that he plays with in Diddle Arena. We are looking forward to getting started coaching Joseph.”

Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Adebayo developed his basketball background internationally, playing high school ball in Japan before coming to the United States to attend Putnam Science Academy. He also competed on the club circuit with Team New England during the 2025-26 season.
