FRANKLIN, Ky. – April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and downtown Scottsville is showing its support with the color blue.

Each pinwheel stands for a child abuse or neglect case in Allen County last year, according to Heart of Scottsville.

If you wish to show support, the downtown group says you can help.

On Friday, April 7, the group is hoping to “paint the town blue” during Simpson County’s First Fridays event.

Participants are encouraged to wear blue in historic downtown Scottsville, where they can enjoy a free Easter egg hunt, car show, live entertainment and more from 6 to 8 p.m.
