Page trucking expands to Morgantown
MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A nationwide trucking company is expanding its presence in Butler County with a significant investment in its Morgantown facility.
Page Trucking Enterprises is investing more than $500,000 into the site, which sits on more than 10 acres and is part of the company’s nationwide network transporting industrial materials across the country. Company leaders say the upgrades will help expand operations while bringing new jobs and opportunities to the community.
According to Piper Titus, chief financial officer of Page Trucking Enterprises, the company specializes in bulk trucking and material management services that support industrial and manufacturing operations.
“We transport other people’s commodities,” Titus said. “We don’t do things like food or consumer goods. We move a lot of industrial materials like scrap metal, ingots, coils, finished metal products and waste byproducts from manufacturing.”
Titus said the company chose to expand in Morgantown partly because of its existing footprint in the region. Page Trucking purchased Ingram Brothers Trucking nearly a decade ago and has since built a strong customer base across south-central Kentucky.
“It’s a really highly concentrated area for us of customers, trucks, trailers, drivers and repair services,” Titus said.
The region’s manufacturing industry also played a major role in the decision. Titus pointed to the presence of metal producers and recycling operations across Kentucky as a key driver of the company’s growth.
“There’s a lot of manufacturing in that area, especially metal production and recycling businesses,” Titus said. “Continuing to grow our business in Kentucky has a lot of potential because of the customer base we already have there.”
The company also highlighted the strength of the local workforce as another reason for expanding operations in the area.
“In Kentucky we’ve found there’s a lot of blue-collar skill and people who know how to do things,” Titus said. “That’s really important for our business.”
The investment will help renovate the facility and expand its capabilities. Plans include additional service bays for truck maintenance, improved workspace for technicians and upgraded amenities for drivers.
Once renovations are complete, the site is expected to operate more efficiently and could eventually add additional shifts as activity increases.
The expansion is also tied to the company’s effort to train the next generation of trucking professionals through its Page Training Center, which offers apprenticeship programs for diesel technicians and a driver training school.
“Being able to train the next generation of employees is paramount to our success and sustainability moving forward,” Titus said.
Company leaders say they hope the investment strengthens their relationship with the Morgantown community while also introducing more people to careers in trucking.
“Our goal is to get people into the industry and expose them to it,” Titus said. “Trucking is an incredible career, and we hope people start to see it that way.”
