Allen County authorities, FBI arrest Tennessee man accused of child sexual abuse

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Tennessee man was arrested on criminal child sexual abuse charges Sunday.

According to a release, the Scottsville Police Department, Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested 33-year-old Tyler Trivette of Mountain City, Tennessee. The arrest is a result of an investigation involving a 15-year-old juvenile.

Authorities say Trivette is charged with third-degree rape, procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, and first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act).

The Scottsville Police Department says no additional information is available at this time.

“If you think you can use social media or electronic communication to target children in Allen County, understand this: if the evidence supports criminal charges, you will be investigated, you will be arrested, and you will be held accountable through the criminal justice system,” the release states.

The investigation is ongoing.
