Bonnieville man charged with attempted arson involving barn

BONNIEVILLE, Ky. – A Bonnieville man is facing an attempted arson charge after allegedly planning to burn a barn down.
According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police received a call regarding a male breaking windows at a home and trying to burn a barn with gasoline.
Authorities say the male was identified as 22-year-old Blake Boleware of Bonnieville.
Troopers say upon arrival, they located several windows that had already been busted out of the residence, along with a gas can near the barn.
Authorities say Boleware was no longer on scene.
In total, authorities say seven windows and two doors were broken. Troopers say they could also smell gasoline at the barn.
Boleware was located at a local restaurant, authorities say.
According to authorities, Boleware stated he was mad at members of his family and “wanted” them “to pay” and admitted to breaking the windows and that he intended to burn the barn down.
Boleware was arrested and transported to the Hart County Jail.
He faces charges of first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree attempted arson and second-degree wanton endangerment.
