Grand jury indicts Logan County man on multiple child sexual abuse charges

ADAIRVILLE, Ky. – A grand jury indicted a Logan County man on child sexual abuse charges.

According to a release, the Adairville Police Department (APD) and the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) launched a joint investigation into alleged crimes against a child.

The investigation resulted in the indictment of 69-year-old Mark Law.

Law was arrested Thursday at his residence on charges of first-degree sodomy (victim under age 12), first-degree sexual abuse (victim under age 12), first-degree criminal abuse (child age 12 or younger) and first-degree rape (victim under age 12). After the arrest, Law was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension. He is being held at the Logan County Jail on a $120,000 cash bond.

During the investigation of Law’s home, they located 31-year-old Ellen Yell. Yell was wanted on felony probation violations. Yell was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
