One man injured then arrested following a shooting Friday night
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man was injured and later placed behind bars after Bowling Green Police were called to a scene with reports of shots fired Friday night.
A vehicle collision occurred in the 1400 block of North Sunrise Drive.
Rondal Davis, the driver of a yellow Camaro, told police a man, later identified as William Green, had been driving recklessly and collided with the front end of his car.
Green then got out of his car brandishing a weapon of some kind, according to police records.
Davis is accused of pulling a gun out and shooting Green who was approaching his vehicle.
Green was taken to The Medical Center and treated for a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police.
Detectives believe Davis shot Green in self-defense.
Surveillance video showed the collision, but the shooting was not clearly visible.
Green is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail charged with second-degree assault and first-degree criminal mischief charges. His bond is set at $1,000.
