BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Duncan Hines Days continued this week with its annual Dolly Parton tribute concert at the Capitol in downtown Bowling Green.

Impersonator Natasha Neely brought the music and personality of Dolly Parton to the stage during the 90-minute performance.

The show featured several of Parton’s classic hits, including “9 to 5” and “Jolene,” along with stories about the country music icon’s life and the inspiration behind some of her best-known songs.

Organizers say the event is one of many activities designed to bring the community together during Duncan Hines Days while celebrating music, entertainment and local traditions.

“People are going to get free cake batter and a great experience they can share with their families,” said Brennen Evans, program director for The Capitol. “It’s something fun to do around town, and it really brings the community together. Summer is here, and it’s a festival that people look forward to every year.”

Duncan Hines Days features a variety of events throughout the week celebrating the legacy of Bowling Green native Duncan Hines and the community that continues to honor his impact.
