Metcalfe County woman accused of assaulting women with axe handle

EDMONTON, Ky.- A Metcalfe County woman is facing assault charges after deputies say she used an axe handle as a weapon.

According to the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, Haley Hunt, 24, injured two women with the weapon during an argument on Froedge Dubree Rd. in Summer Shade.

One woman sought medical attention, while the other did not.

Hunt is charged with second-degree assault and is being held in the Barren County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
