Metcalfe County man accused of threatening family members with box cutter

EDMONTON, Ky.- A Metcalfe County man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he threatened his family members and then recklessly drove his vehicle on the family’s property.

Kendall Vibbert, 58, is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree terroristic threatening and menacing.

According to a news release from the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, on January 2, Vibbert was involved in a physical altercation with family members at a residence on Peckerwood Ridge Road.

Authorities said Vibbert brandished a box cutter and then returned to his vehicle. Moments later, Vibbert is accused of driving his vehicle on the property, striking various objects in the yard and coming close to hitting the home.

Authorities said after leaving the property, Vibbert then threatened another person with harm.

Arrest warrants were issued for Vibbert and he was arrested Monday.

Vibbert is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and being held on a $5,000 bond.
