Med Center EMS training kids for emergencies
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center EMS is offering a free educational session on Saturday, March 11 at 11 a.m. at the main branch of the Warren County Public Library on State Street.
It’s an effort from EMS to help kids kindergarten to 6th grade age with identifying an emergency and 911 processes. They’ve also invited the Bowling Green Police Department and Bowling Green Fire Department to help out and help kids get familiar with them as well.
Kimmy Rheaume, EMS’s public relations representative, said she hopes this “really takes off” so that they can educate kids on other emergency situations on a monthly basis such as bike safety.
Rheaume wanted to encourage the public to come out Saturday to get some needed information. She also wanted to add that this isn’t a camp type of event where you would drop your kids off, it’s something to get the whole family involved in, or at least one adult/parent per child.
