Man arrested on DUI, hit-and-run and terroristic threatening charges
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is behind bars after police say he drove under the influence of synthetic drugs, left the scene of an accident and threatened to shoot EMS staff.
The arrest citation states Travis Johnson, 27, is accused of hitting and “completely destroying” a telephone pole on Industrial Drive and then leaving the scene.
Police received a call shortly after a man, later identified as Johnson, passed out outside of Cameron Park Apartments.
The citation states a burnt synthetic joint was located next to him and a suboxone prescription, with missing pills, was located inside the vehicle.
Police say while Johnson was being taken to the Medical Center at Bowling Green, he threatened to shoot one of the EMS staff and said he had a gun.
Johnson is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on a slew of charges.
The replacement cost of the telephone pole is approximately $1,500 according to police.
