Louisville Metro police seize black tar heroin in drug bust

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of black tar heroin is now off the streets in Louisville.

Louisville Metro police say they caught a suspect transporting 16 pounds of black tar heroin worth about $300,000.

Louisville police say the drugs originated from Mexico, and the last distribution stop was in Louisville.

Officers say the drugs were hidden inside the suspect’s vehicle.

As a result, Ernesto A. Marines, 42, has been arrested.
