Local shelter raising money with online auction

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After canceling its biggest fundraiser of the year due to the coronavirus pandemic, a local animal shelter has come up with a creative way to raise money.

The Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society is hosting an online auction Thursday on Facebook Live from 4pm to 8pm.

The shelter is auctioning off new and like new items including, electronics, pet care products, jewelry and a lot more.

The money raised will go toward running the shelter.

This year, donations and fundraising is more important than ever following the cancellation of the annual Fur Ball event.

The shelter workers are stressing, you must come pick up the items you purchase in person on Friday between 10 a.m.-6:30, no exceptions.

They will not hold or ship items.
