Local fire department receives equipment grant

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local volunteer fire department is receiving a federal grant to purchase safety equipment.

Congressman Brett Guthrie announced Tuesday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program is awarding over $7,000 to the Richardsville Volunteer Fire Department

The funding will go toward personal protective equipment, but the specifics have yet to be determined.
