Local church makes national news for counseling service
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – During all the stress and struggles that COVID-19 has brought, one church is making national news for its counseling services.
Over the weekend, Living Hope Baptist Church’s pastor, Jason Pettus, was featured on Fox News talking about the church’s free counseling center.
The Hope Center has been providing the community with free counseling for several years.
But due to the pandemic, first responders are now being encouraged to take advantage of the services.
Because of social distancing, though, some things have changed.
According to Pettus, the meetings are now on Zoom to avoid in person contacts. Zoom is an online program that allows people to use smart phones or computers to talk to each other face to face.
