Leachman Automotive asking public to help name its bull mascot, winner to receive school supplies
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you’ve driven down Scottsville Road in Bowling Green sometime in the last 26 years, you’ve probably noticed him.
Outside of Leachman, a bull stands proudly guarding the lot. But for 26 years, he has remained unnamed, until now. As part of their back-to-school contest, Leachman Automotive is inviting children to help name its bull.
As a bonus for the winner, the child will win free back-to-school supplies for the school year.
Alex Ballard with Leachman Automotive says that the company thought it was time for its bull to finally have a name but also wanted to give back to the community, especially as prices for back to school materials rise.
“A lot of children love our bull. He is, I want to say even an Apple Map landmark. So that’s kind of what came about, is we are going to be doing an August back to school backpack drive” Ballard said. “So we figured why not kind of time it before parents have open house. They’re getting those schools supplies list. We didn’t want to do a contest where school supplies were already bought. So that’s just kind of where the start of this came about was just how do we do something fun for the community. And it be kind of something that people already know when they see it online”.
If you would like a chance to name the bull, you can click here for more. You have until July 31st to submit your entry.
