Lawmakers respond to Mueller’s testimony

(NBC News) Both Democrats and Republicans claimed victory following Wednesday’s congressional testimony by former special counsel Robert Mueller, regarding his investigation of President Trump and Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Democrats highlighted Russian malign efforts and undercut President Trump’s claims of exoneration and a “witch hunt.” The GOP, meanwhile, tried to cast doubts on the special counsel’s office and the probe’s origins.

Dems. might not have gained much momentum Wednesday for impeachment, but their investigations continue. As for Republicans, it’s a similar refrain: “time to move on.”
