KSP to conduct traffic safety checkpoints in local viewing areas

Police Blue Lights Still 1

BOWLIGN GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police would like to remind the public of traffic safety checkpoints.

KSP says these traffic safety checkpoints, along with patrols at known problematic areas, help deter drivers from violating laws. KSP says these efforts are to promote safety for the public on the roadways.

The goal of traffic checkpoints is to provide for a high visibility, public safety service, focusing on operator impairment, vehicular equipment deficiencies (confirming appropriate registration and insurance of vehicles) and the valid licensing of drivers, KSP says. Other violations of law or other public safety issues that arise will be addressed.

Post 3 serves Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties.
