KSP investigates officer-involved shooting in Union County

MORGANFIELD, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating after a shooting led to injuries for both a male subject and Union County deputy.

KSP was requested by the Union County Sheriff’s Office to investigate an officer-involved shooting that happened around 7:50 p.m. Thursday.

KSP’s Critical Incident Response Team and KSP investigators arrived on the scene, where they began an investigation.

A male subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to KSP.

Police say a Union County deputy was also transported to a local hospital for treatment and has been released.
