KSP charges Shelby County man with child sexual exploitation offense

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. — On Tuesday, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Natividad Garcia, 35, on a charge related to child sexual abuse material.

According to a release, Garcia was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect uploading images of child sexual exploitation online.

Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s digital forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Garcia is currently charged with one count of use of a minor under 18 in a sexual performance, a class C felony.

Garcia was lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.
