KSP: Avoid potentially unsafe car seats with these tips
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- In Kentucky, car seat safety matters. The Kentucky State Police says that you need to avoid buying secondhand car seats from a social media group like Facebook Marketplace or a yard sale.
In Bowling Green, authorities say that not knowing the history and care of the car seat can be hazardo9us and put your child in danger. The damage to a car seat that’s involved in a collision could be invisible to the naked eye. All KSP troopers are certified child safety seat technicians.
According to KSP Trooper Priddy, “We don’t just work in these communities, we’re apart of them. Our families are there, and we want to make sure every body is as safe as possible. we want the road ways to be a safe place where people aren’t afraid to travel daily. Just being able to provide some type of information to people to make their travels a little safer, especially for their kid.”
