Kentucky Museum awarded $50,000 grant
The Kentucky Museum on the campus of Western Kentucky University has been awarded a $50,000 grant.
The announcement was made this afternoon by Congressman Brett Guthrie’s office.
The money is being awarded to the museum from the National Endowment for the Humanities and will go toward the museum’s sustainable environmental planning project.
Guthrie says the grant will allow the university and museum to further its commitment to sustainability.
Both shelters cost a combined $600,000. The money to build them came from not only Warren County, but Kentucky’s Emergency Management Department, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA.
