International Center of Kentucky Laptop Giveaway
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The International Center of Kentucky helps out the community with a special gift.
Today, the Center held a laptop giveaway for those in their mentorship program.
These laptops will allow them to do schoolwork and communicate with their families back home.
They received roughly $20,000 to help purchase the laptops and make them available for the refugee community.
The staff at the International Center are happy to help out their community in any way they can.
“This is just like the first start. As we are receiving many more young people, we will be giving out many more laptops. We’re so blessed to have the U.S. Committee for Refugees & Immigrants supporting us on restricted financial resources that is permitting us to do all of what we are doing right now,” Dr. Albert Mbanfu, Executive Director of the International Center says.
They also plan to distribute laptops at their secondary location in Owensboro at a later date.
The community is excited to receive their new laptops and grateful to the International Center for the gift.
