Indiana man allegedly scams Kentucky resident out of $25,000

OAK GROVE, Ky. – An Indiana man is charged after allegedly scamming a bank.
According to the Oak Grove Police Department, 55-year-old Wendell Christmas, of Merrillville, Indiana, is a suspect in a bank fraud scheme targeting the Oak Grove Navy Federal Credit Union.
Police allege that Christmas recruited and coordinated individuals to steal funds from victims using stolen identities.
Christmas allegedly scammed an individual out of $25,000 in Oak Grove.
OGPD says Illinois police arrested Christmas. He is currently awaiting extradition to Christian County.
Christmas is charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and unlawful access to a computer.
