CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Christopher Bell and Ty Gibbs scored back-to-back surprise victories last weekend on the road course at Daytona. The wins showed Joe Gibbs Racing has strong young talent in the organization, but also validated the Toyota driver development program. Bell has been backed by Toyota for a decade dating to his early days running dirt races in Oklahoma. Toyota helped push Bell up the ladder and into the Cup Series. Bell delivered on the investment with a victory in his second Cup race driving for JGR.
