Barren County Family YMCA announces departure of CEO/Executive Director

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Barren County Family YMCA announced a leadership transition Thursday.

According to a media release, CEO and Executive Director Tara Bailey has accepted the position of Executive Director at the Northeast Family YMCA of Greater Louisville.

Bailey has served the YMCA since July 2018. She has spent 33 years serving the YMCA.

“It has been an incredible privilege to serve the Barren County community and work alongside such dedicated staff, volunteers, and board members,” Bailey said. “I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished together. While I look forward to this new opportunity, Barren County and this YMCA will always hold a special place in my heart.”

According to the release, the YMCA Board of Directors, with support from the Kentucky/West Virginia YMCA State Alliance, will oversee the leadership transition.

“The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring continuity of leadership and services while preparing the organization for its next chapter,” said Board President Brandon Judd.
