IndyCar embraces Americana charm at Mid-Ohio for holiday

LEXINGTON, Ohio (AP) — IndyCar will celebrate Independence Day in the middle of Ohio. There will  be movies and fireworks and a fantastic season of racing taking its show to the fabled sports car course. The quaint Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course sits halfway between Cleveland and Columbus and is beloved by racing enthusiasts who camp all over the 380-acre park ahead of Sunday’s race. Josef Newgarden starts from the pole for the third consecutive race,but he’s still in search of his first win of the season. Colton Herta qualified second for an All-American driver front row.
