Hulu sets Mike Tyson miniseries, but the boxer punches back
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hulu says it’s ordered “Iron Mike,” a limited series dramatizing the life of boxing great Mike Tyson. In an Instagram post Thursday, Tyson slammed the production he’s not involved in as “cultural misappropriation.” He says the project smacks of insensitivity. Hulu says the series will explore Tyson’s “wild” and “controversial” life and career. It didn’t immediately respond with comment about Tyson’s post. Tyson says he plans to announce his own authorized autobiographical project. The eight-episode “Iron Mike” series is from the makers of “I, Tonya,” the 2017 movie that starred Margot Robbie as figure skater Tonya Harding.
