Football schools? Ohio State, Alabama thriving in hoops, too

Ohio State and Alabama are still contending for a national championship six weeks after playing for the football title. The traditional football powers have two of the nation’s top basketball teams. No. 4 Ohio State and No. 6 Alabama are vying for high NCAA Tournament seeds. The Crimson Tide is trying to secure its first Southeastern Conference title since 2002. Their coaches both think being at schools with top football programs is a benefit not a hindrance.
