Hit-and-run driver sentenced to 12 years after striking Bowling Green teenager

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A woman accused of striking a 15-year-old girl with her vehicle and fleeing the scene in June 2018 has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars.

Alexis Ogles, 29, was sentenced Wednesday in Warren County, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Chris Cohron.

Ogles pleaded guilty to hitting Jada Rigsby while she was walking on Industrial Drive. Rigsby suffered significant head injuries as a result of the hit-and-run.

Ogles was arrested days later and charged with numerous crimes, including assault and leaving the scene of an accident.

Cohron said the Kentucky Department of Corrections will decide if Ogles stays in the Warren County Regional Jail or a state facility.
