Grayson County family takes home largest pumpkin, tallest sunflower at Kentucky State Fair
GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – A Grayson County family is continuing its winning ways at the Kentucky State Fair on Saturday.
According to K105, the Monin family of Caneyville won the 2026 Kentucky State Fair’s Largest Pumpkin contest. The family has won the award three times since 2022.
The pumpkin, weighing 1,882.4 pounds, broke the fair’s previous record of 1,664 pounds.
Bennett Monin, son of Josh and Whitney Monin, also won the award for tallest sunflower, measuring in at 95 inches, according to K105.
