Gov. Beshear orders flags to half-staff in honor of soldiers killed in helicopter crash

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered flags at all state office buildings to be lowered to half staff until sunset Monday, April 3.
The governor’s office says the gesture is to honor the nine Fort Campbell soldiers who died in a helicopter crash Wednesday during a routine training mission.
The incident happened in Trigg County, where two HH60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed.
According to the U.S. Army, all nine soldiers were assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
