Glasgow man arrested on shoplifting, weapon and drug charges

GLASGOW, Ky.- A 21-year-old Glasgow man is behind bars, accused of shoplifting and having drugs and a weapon on him.

According to Glasgow police, officers responded to the Big Lots on Monday in reference to a shoplifter that ran out of the store.

Officers say they found the man, later identified as, Chanse Ennis, near the Shalimar Apartments.

Police say they found a kitchen knife inside his front pocket, a glass pipe and a small bag of suspected methamphetamine. Moreover, officers say they recovered the items taken from the store.

Ennis is charged with numerous offenses, including, shoplifting, fleeing or evading police, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a controlled substance.

He is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
