Glasgow Christmas Parade theme announced as ‘Stars, Stripes & Silent Nights’
GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow’s Christmas parade theme is officially released for 2026.
According to Barren Inc., the Baarren County Chamber of Commerce, this year’s theme will be “Stars, Stripes & Silent Nights,” a celebration of America 250: Freedom, Family and Community.
The chamber was joined by Grand Marshal sponsor Phillips Family Grocery and Buter Shop for the announcement Tuesday evening.
Parade attendees are invited to wear red, white and blue when the event rolls around to take part in the theme.
According to the chamber, this year’s parade aims to unite “the magic of Christmas with the pride of our country.” The chamber says the theme celebrates “courage, sacrifice, freedom and opportunity that have shaped American for generations, while honoring the families, hometown heroes and communities that continue to carry the American spirit forward.”
The chamber says parade participants are encouraged to bring the theme to life using floats, costumes, music and decorations inspired by classic Americana, American history, military service, national landmarks, hometown traditions and the symbols of liberty.
Organizers say applications for participating floats will be released on Oct. 1 and must be submitted no later than Nov. 20 at 4 p.m.
Participants who register by Oct. 30 will receive the early-bird rate of $25 per float, the chamber says. After Oct. 30, the registration fee will increase to $50 per float.
The Glasgow Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. in downtown Glasgow.
