Four officers receive promotions at the Bowling Green Police Department
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With the outgoing chief replaced at the Bowling Green Police Department, positions below were left open for promotions.
The Bowling Green Police Department is excited to announce four promotions following the naming of the new chief, Mike Delaney.
Brian Harrell, one of the former candidates for the police chief position, was promoted to deputy chief.
Robert Hansen took Harrell’s place as assistant chief.
Eric Houchins was promoted to captain and Marc Kaiser took his place as a sergeant.
According to Ronnie Ward of the Bowling Green Police Department, when a chief is named from within the department, it is common to have other promotions follow suit.
These individuals were chosen by the Bowling Green human resources, chief Mike Delaney, and voted on by the Bowling Green City Commissioners.
