Former rescue commander, another man facing drug charges
BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – A man who was at one time a commander of the Edmondson County rescue squad was arrested Friday night with another man outside of a storage facility.
An Edmonson County sheriff’s deputy saw the men in a parking lot, thought something looked amiss and stopped to investigate, Sheriff Shane Doyle said.
As a result, two men were arrested.
Dakota Yates, 26, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense methamphetamine, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense drug unspecified, possession of drug paraphernalia, controlled substance prescription not in proper container and resisting arrest, according to online Hart County Jail records.
Yates was at one time a rescue squad commander, Doyle said.
The person with Yates, Nicholas Spainhoward, 37, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense methamphetamine, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense drug unspecified, possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substance prescription not in proper container.
Both were lodged in the Hart County Jail.
