Bowling Green woman dies of drowning after saving child

ALVATON, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman has died of drowning after saving a child in the water at Phil Moore Park, according to the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office provided an update Monday, confirming the woman, identified as 42-year-old Sarah Jo Reeder of Bowling Green, died Friday night. She was pronounced dead at 10:37 p.m. at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

Multiple first responders were on scene Friday afternoon at Phil Moore Park after the incident occurred.

At that time, Warren County Fire Department System Chief Bill Rector told WNKY News 40 that an adult female was in critical condition following the incident.
