Empty Bowls help fill future plates in Warren County
BOWLING GREEN Ky. – At St. James United Methodist Church, HOTEL INC. held their Empty Bowls charity event.
At the event, clay bowls and mugs made by local artists and students were given to donors who bought a lunch that went towards helping HOTEL INC. and their Delafield Market sustain themselves and continue giving to Bowling Green and Warren County communities.
“It’s been great, because we have everything from professional potters to students that contribute to this every year. As far as making bowls that can be chosen. And that bowl was a reflection for us to have in our homes and to remember that we all can play a part in helping to alleviate food insecurity,” Rhondell Miller, executive director of HOTEL INC., said.
