Emergency exercise to be conducted at Green River Water Treatment Facility

HART COUNTY, Ky. – First responders are expected to gather for a community response exercise at the Green River Water Treatment Facility on Saturday, Aug. 22, according to emergency officials.
Hart County Emergency Management says the exercise is meant to strengthen coordination between local agencies and “improve readiness for facility-related incidents.”
The exercise is going to include participation from fire, EMS, law enforcement, emergency management and other organizations.
Emergency management says this is a planned training event, and there is no danger to the public.
Normal operations will continue during the exercise, emergency officials say.
