Edmonson County Sheriff’s K9 to appear on A&E’s ‘America’s Top Dog’

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 will be featured on a hit television show in the upcoming weeks.

K-9 Deputy Jordan Jones and K-9 Tango will be competing for the title “America’s Top Dog” and a monetary prize at 8 p.m. Feb. 5 on A&E’s “America’s Top Dog.”

Around 700 dogs tried out for the show, but K-9 Tango is a one of only 50 dogs that made the cut for “Top Dog.”

In each episode of “America’s Top Dog,” four police K-9 teams, including and one civilian team compete for each week’s prize of $10,000 and an additional $5,000 to donate to the animal charity of their choice.

Top competitors return to the finale course to battle for the title of “America’s Top Dog” and an additional $25,000 cash prize.
