Dozens visit Glasgow Gaelic Gathering

GLASGOW, Ky. – Several people from Southcentral Kentucky were able to shop and learn more about Gaelic culture at the Glasgow Gaelic Gathering.

Adam Dahmer, a doctor of Celtic studies, taught several students more about the Gaelic language, as well as the history of Scotland.

“I think that, local people, quite rightly are very proud of their Scottish heritage,” Dahmer said. And if they want to explore that further and if they want to develop it and showcase it to the wider world, then including the Gallic language makes it unique, that cultural offering. And I think that it’s a very valuable thing to Glasgow in that way.”
