Construction and training to take place on Nolin River Lake Tailwater Recreation Area

EDMONSON, GRAYSON and HART COUNTIES, Ky. – Construction and training activities at the Nolin River Lake Tailwater Recreation Area will affect parking and access throughout November.

The Stilling Basin Area will be closed Nov. 2-6, Nov. 9-13 and Nov. 16-20 for Shepherdsville Fire Department and Louisville Metro Police Department training, as well as parking lot restoration.

The Picnic Shelter Parking Lot will also have limited access from Nov. 16- 23 for LMPD training.

The Upper Boat Ramp Parking Lot will be closed until March of 2027 to build a new restroom facility on the ramp.

The Lower Tailwater Boat Ramp Parking Area will remain open throughout the period. The Picnic Shelter Parking Lot can accommodate vehicles with attached boat trailers on unlisted dates.
