Butler County Fair is underway with a few changes
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Butler County Fair is underway starting Friday looking a little different this year than in past years.
Last year, the fair was cancelled due to COVID-19, and this year it is at the old campgrounds by the Morgantown boat ramp instead of the Charles Black City Park in Morgantown because of ongoing renovations.
Because of this change, the fair will not be able to have any carnival rides as the location has no access to electricity.
Nevertheless, the fair is still on with several exciting events to look forward to.
From 4-H events to beauty pageants, a concert at the square and a multiple day fishing tournament, Deanna Embry, the chairman of the fishing tournament and Tristan Klein, the president of the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce are excited to be able to have the fair back this year.
Because of the venue change, the fair is incorporating the big Catfish Festival all in one this year.
