Bowling Green police warn of 2 phone scams
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Police Department is warning residents of two phone scams going around.
The first is someone pretending to be from a local business saying you left your credit card in the store. They then ask you to verify the number.
The second scam is someone acting like they are with a law enforcement agency, saying your information was compromised and they need to transfer you to the Department of Homeland Security in order to provide personal information.
Law enforcement officers want to remind the public to never give out personal information over the phone.
