Bowling Green man arrested on drug and shoplifting charges
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is behind bars on a drug and shoplifting charge after police say they found methamphetamine inside his jacket pocket alongside the stolen item.
According to the arrest citation, police were called to Kohl’s on reports that a man, later identified as Thomas Johnson, 30, concealed an electronic item worth $130 in his pocket and then put on a pair of gloves from the store before exiting.
Once outside, police made contact with Johnson who turned over the items and consented to a search.
Police say they located a baggie of suspected methamphetamine inside his jacket as well, which he told them he had borrowed from a friend.
The citation states this is Johnson’s third meth-related arrest in five months.
